The X930 uses a new backlighting system that uses more light tracks to make a better dynamic range, no other TV (other than full array TVs) will have the same dynamic range, this makes the TV run hotter due to more light tracks

Mine stays cool even after a 7hr netflix binge. I am using a sanus full motion mount about 7-10 inches from wall but only .5" above a bluestone slab on fireplace.

I contacted Sony, and they just said sorry cant help you. Customer service is terrible. will never buy a Sony again
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have had the tv for about 4-5 years. It get extremely hot at the top left and right of the tv but it still works. It’s never shut off or anything from overheating. And of course the Android tv is buggy and slow.
