TV processor converts all sources to 3840 x 2160 (4K) as that is the only picture it can show. Original 4K sources ( such as 4K Blu-ray's or 4K clips) would look the best. Hi-Def 1920 x 1080 (1080i) or 720p cable or Blu-ray sources will not look as good, and SDR such as regular DVD's (480p) would look the worst; even though all of these would be displayed as 3840 x 2160 (4K) .

If you have an HD Antenna on your house, most of all channels should be HD. You cannot upscale HD to 4k as it was not produce in 4k, only 4k content be be true 4k, however your OLED TV will attempt to bring you the best upscaling but it can never give 4k to HD content. To get 4k, you have to buy either DVD's that are made 4k or log on to the internet and there are steaming sights that can provide 4k viewing.

Please try again later.Hi SharC, with the TV's 4K X-Reality PRO feature, non-4K content is upscaled to near 4K resolution automatically by increasing the definition through super-resolution processing. Please be advised that it is upscaled close to 4K resolution and not true 4K content. You can control the amount of upscaling with the Reality Creation setting under Picture Settings. ~Ralph
