General answer: A wired connection will provide a more robust data link. 4K video requires ~12 - 18 Mbps Newer access points can achieve these rates as can Gigabit Ethernet. The biggest bottleneck is the modem and the provider.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If your receiver is 4K UHD compatible running everything through the receiver should have no effect on picture quality. I run my cable and Roku thru my receiver and then thru the TV and get full 4K UHD picture for applicable programs/movies on Netflix, Prime, VUDU, and ROW8. My receiver is 4K UHD rated/compatible.
