I have a Directv receiver less than a year old with new cables. Directv says those cables will work fine with a 4k tv, i dont meed any new cables. Is that true? null

HDMI is all that you would need. 4K works like a charm.

I was told by BestBuy to pickup the ultra HDMI cable for my DirectTV. I switched back and forth through my two cables and various HDMI ports and it finally started communicating with the ultra cable.

We hace the same setup and I haven't seen any issues with the cables provided with DirectTV.

I just had my Directv equipment upgraded to the latest. I am using the cable they supplied and it seems to work fine. I did purchase a new DVD player and had to purchase a new HDMI cable with it because it did not come with one.
