Yes, this is normal. It is not adjustable. I may add a wooden spacer under the base with the back of the spacer slightly higher than the front. This would raise the TV high enough for a sound bar to set in front of the set and change the angle a little as well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is true the TV tilts backwards and it looks terrible. This is the only negative I have found on the tv. I almost took it back for that very reason. Doesn't make sense to tilt it like that for any reason Sony comes up with. All TV stands are different so how does one tilt fit all? It does not. Also you can not put a soundbar in the front of the TV or else your remote wont work as the signal is in the front unless you have a low media center and point down. For these two reasons I almost took it back. Had to build the back legs up to even out the tv. Don't think spending this much money we should have to do that and now it looks silly to have the sound bar at the back of the tv. I kept it why? The picture is incredible and the Android Smart TV operating system I really wanted so I can tweak it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine was on the floor stand briefly, and it too tilted. I have since mounted it to the wall. Thanks.
