• The 65" is measured from the top right corner to the bottom left corner, not straight across.

• The screen size on all televisions and monitors is the diagonal measurement, not the width.

• The reason why you are getting that number is because the tv is measured by a diagonal measurement and not a straight edge to edge measurement.
