A:AnswerNo. What matters is the output hdmi cable from receiver to tv and source signal. Basically, you need to upgrade DTV service and equipment for 4k signal unless streaming. Also make sure you are using hdmi port 2 or 3 and enable 4k on those inputs through settings. Lastly, run directly from receiver to tv, not a hub or xbox as this will compromise image quality.
A:AnswerYes, the Z9F is coming out soon, so far early reports are it’s a much better TV, except for one important aspect. So far from test reports I read, they are saying the Z9D actually has an overall better picture quality. Of course the TV has yet to be released and it really won’t be known until then. The Z9F has the X1 Ultimate processor, which is better than the X1 Extreme in the Z9D. It’s said to have much better sound from its internal speakers, and a better viewing angle, as all VA LED/LCD panels are not that great when not viewed head on.
A:AnswerIt has a table stand with it that bolts to the tv. If you are talking about a actual piece of furniture no it does not come with a TV stand that you set it on those are sold separately.
A:Answer3 years this TV has been a flagship for Sony, 2016, 2017, 2018 sadly late in 2018 the Z9D's are being discontinued, and still more expensive than the replacements Z9F's
Dont be fooled by in store demo's they are specifically designed to show off the strengths, however when you get home and watch your typical content its not the same.
OLED's suffer from degradation & burn-in (yes even with software to reduce burn-in it still happens). Blues slowly start to fade/fail first, similar to plasmas getting dimmer over time This is something will take time, With that said, LCD/LED's will last years to decades longer I have a 2010 first gen Sony 3D, still going (IR glasses, ah the early days of 3D). OLED blacks are the best but suffer from lower shadow details or crushed shadow highlights. OLED's cant achieve the same brightness as LCD/LED TV's, the Z9D's are within about 5-10% black levels of OLED's with 2-4x brighter, best example I know of is for brightness is like driving into the setting sun, makes your eyes squint as you reach for your sun-glasses or sun visor, Z9D can diffidently make you squint I had to turn it down a bit, making this TV a fantastic for HDR/Dolby Vision capable set with awesome cloud details not blown out by the brightness like OLED's would, also if watch your TV during daylight in your home this is the TV for you, dont forget about 3D, its not a gimmick, in-fact the is hands down the best 3D TV ever made, no question. Its better than movie theaters by a substantial amount just be sure to research your 3D content, not all 3D movies are created equal. 3D Avatar, and gauge every move after that, as Avatar is gold standard for 3D movies. Lastly make you have a "Great" 4k player, Oppo UDP-203/205 are the gold standard as well, but discontinued as of writing this mid 2018.
A:AnswerHi, this unit has 3D feature. However, it doesn't have PiP. You may also refer to the link below for more information about this unit. Thanks! ^Ron
