“I own Sony 55x850C purchased in December 2015. Love the picture and features BUT the operation system sucks so bad! Sluggish!!!! So can anyone speak to his the new sets menus work? Are the quick and snappy? I know the design of the menus have not changed”

Please try again later.The android operating system is very slow and sluggish compared to other smart TVs, however the operating system is android and like all android devices they have a developer options. You would need to go into information about TV, where it says about TV or build model or number you consistently hit enter on that option until it says developer options available. In developer option settings scroll to screen window animation and transition animation as well as animation transition., set all to off You will have a more snappy interface. Sony will also be doing a update to oreo 8.0 soon as well and may help some features of the TV as well as look to android itself.
