• you have to buy the cable unless it came with the dvd player...if you have regular rca cable you just have to hook the same color to the same cable...it works just have to have seperate cable for audio...the best way is a hdmi cable you have to purchase all the cable separately...no cable come with the tv...

• Hi Tom, Use a connection method based on the terminals available on your TV. If your DVD player has component video jacks (sockets), connect them to the TV using a component video cable and an audio cable. If your DVD player has composite jacks (sockets), connect them using a composite video/audio cable. When using an Analog Extension cable, use a 3.5 mm jack of the Analog Extension Cable has 4 poles.
