I can not answer that question but I was told this was the better choice for me. I have some glare issues I was trying to address from windows on the wall directly across from the TV. I can say it has helped with my problem. Still not gone but definitely better. I am, overall, very happy with the tv so far.

Powered by our Cognitive Processor XR, this TV reproduces color in a way that humans find beautiful. See a wider palette of colors with an enhanced range of hue and saturation, allowing natural shades and precise details to be seen, even in dark scenes. The XR Smoothing creates smooth, natural 4K pictures as you watch, without the “banding” that can occur on other TVs. Scenes are reproduced with thousands of tones, shades and gradations, making them look incredibly real. With XR Contrast Booster, bright areas are brighter and dark areas darker—no more details overwhelmed by shadow or lost in blown-out highlights. The X90J is a NextGen TV (ATSC 3.0). NextGen TV™ (ATSC 3.0) is the latest version of over-the-air antenna TV and brings several improvements over the previous ATSC 1.0 standard including better reception, up to 4K Ultra HDTV video with movie theater-quality sound, more channels, mobile viewing on the go, on-demand internet content, and more. Antenna and internet connections give you access to the full range of capabilities of the new system. While you can receive NextGen TV without being connected to the internet, if you're connected to the internet, NextGen TV will deliver an even better experience that will be enhanced over time. Also, the TV supports the features specified in HDMI 2.1. If you are looking for a TV that support the X-wide Angle, you can check the X950H.
