• For some reason Sony quotes this for a 6 ohm rating, and usually amps like this are used with 8 ohm speakers. You can certainly use your JBL's with this, and it is always actually better to have reserve power for speakers. If a low power amp is used and overdriven it can actually blow speaker drivers, as it will put out square waveforms.
