No, the minimum rating for this receiver is 6 ohms so you are good to go. 4 ohm speakers would cause this receiver to burn out. The MCACC room calibration utility should balance the sound output for your 6 and 8 ohm speakers.

The ohm rating of the speaker should be equal to or greater than the ohm rating of the receiver however you cannot fully utilize the speaker's power since it can only handle 6 ohm load. - Jerome

Please try again later.Unless you are going to run this near peak levels for extended periods of time (and make your friends and neighbors angry) then this should not be a problem. It might make the sound vary, however, depending on the relative sizes of the speakers. You certainly could give it a try and see if it is acceptable. There are a lot of acoustical considerations involved in the space so it may make no difference in sound.
