Everybody sell 3 ohm receivers; it's just that no one markets them that way. For example, a Sony I recently purchased was advertised to be rated at 145 w/ch @ 6 ohms. Changing the resistance changes the power output so that you'd get a rated output of 290 w/ch @ 3ohms. How good an idea it is to run your amp with that low a resistance... I have no idea. If you're a Best Buy fan, go into their Magnolia area and see if one of their folks might be able to help.
