• Yes, it can be used with just one sub. That's how I have mine setup and it sounds great. Make sure you have a powered sub though. Meaning the sub itself plugs into the wall outlet.

• Yes you can use one cord from the subwoofer, but it is recommended that you use an RCA Y-Splitter on the receivers end and connect it to both subwoofer connections.

• I only have one subwoofer connected to it and it works fine. It just has the capability to connect two subwoofers.
