Currently using older Kenwood speakers that do not have rca type connectors, just the old style wire into spring clips... how do I connect to this receiver ?? null

Clip the spring wires to bare wire or buy new speakers like Harmon Kardon.

Standard speaker wire or banana clips.

The receiver has spring clips for the speakers. But, if you use a subwoofer, it has RCA socket for that.

Hi Dustycorral1, This Sony STRDH550 is equipped with speaker terminals compatible with stripped wire. You may need to strip the jacket for about 10 mm at each end of the speaker cables.
