• Clip the spring wires to bare wire or buy new speakers like Harmon Kardon.

• The receiver has spring clips for the speakers. But, if you use a subwoofer, it has RCA socket for that.

• Hi Dustycorral1, This Sony STRDH550 is equipped with speaker terminals compatible with stripped wire. You may need to strip the jacket for about 10 mm at each end of the speaker cables.
