Centered. 100%. We had an mount for a previous center mounted 65" TV that we had for 11 years that was mounted in stonework above our fireplace. When we went to replace that TV, we found that only the Sony still had a center mount. To avoid having to re-drill a new mount in the stonework, we got the Sony. It was a perfect fit for the old center mount.

Distance from top of TV to top mounting holes = 310mm Distance from bottom of TV to bottom mounting holes = 271 mm Conclusion, mounting holes are slightly lower than centered. I hope this helps.
