A:Answer Vast. The 900E or 900Z series are MUCH, MUCH better, especially with respect to overall contrast. The 850, when all blackened on screen "looks like" it is still on with a soft grayish haze, while in comparison, the 900 models appear as if the set as been turned off when the scene goes completely to black. The difference is striking.
