Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience, Harris. We are sorry to hear that you are noticing the picture on your K-85XR50 television appears to be dimming frequently, as this is certainly not the seamless viewing experience we intend to deliver. This behavior is often related to one of the TV's power-saving or picture-optimization features working as designed, but we can usually adjust a setting to make the picture consistent for you. To help you resolve this, we recommend checking the following settings, which can cause the screen to dim: Ambient Light Sensor / Light Sensor: This setting automatically adjusts the screen brightness based on the light in your room. If the room lighting changes, the screen brightness will follow. Try disabling the Light Sensor in the Picture or Power settings. Local Dimming / Contrast Enhancement: The XR50 uses advanced local dimming. Sometimes, if the setting is too aggressive, the entire screen can appear to dim when a dark object is present. Try adjusting the Advanced Contrast Enhancer or Black Adjust settings to see if the dimming becomes less noticeable. If adjusting these settings does not immediately resolve the constant dimming, please contact our dedicated support specialists directly here: https://us.esupport.sony.com/support/s/support-contact?language=en_US&category=tv. They can guide you through the specific menu steps for your model to stop this behavior. We regret that this is impacting your enjoyment of the TV and appreciate you bringing it to our attention. Best regards, Gus, Sony Social Media Team
