The AIR-SA17Ti is a wireless device, it does not have a USB connection thus it cannot be connected to the BDV-E780w home theater system in that manner. It can be connected to the BDV-E780w using A/V cabling or via the wireless option. The AIR-SA17Ti can provide power to the IPod/IPhone that is connected to the it base.
