A:AnswerI actually set up the captions on the Netflix app instead of any of my devices. Therefore, on any device I chose to stream from the captions are there.
When comes to the remote control you mentioned, I believe once you program it to work with your different devices you should be able to turn on and off the captions using it.

I always connect with an ethernet cable to a network switch or directly to the router. Much better than a wireless connection. Faster and more reliable.
And you want to have at least 25 Mbs speed from your internet provider. We now have 100 Mbs service and there are no problems .
