Hi Nick, based on the specifications of this player, the region code is A ( Blu-ray ) and 1 ( DVD ) because Sony players sold in the U.S.are coded to play Region A & 1 Blu-ray & DVD discs. They also will play discs labelled Region 0 or Free. The same will be true for a computer or Blu-ray Disc player purchased in another region. There is no way to override the region code. Dave
