• Yes. I would consider another player if you want to stream video from Netflix etc. This one needs a wired connection.

• Yes we watch both DVDs and blue ray and the picture seems just a good on DVDs

• You should be able to watch standard DVDs on a Blu-ray player, but not Blu-ray movies on a standard DVD player. Thanks!
