• You need a connection that is more than 2 Mb/s. For HD or 3D, you need higher speeds.

• I have a So y also. I set up my unit to my wifi and hooked up my cables and was off to the races. Super easy to set up.

• Either one will work. I prefer to wire it if it's right by the tv. If it's not, and you don't want to see the wires, just connect it to your wifi network in network settings. You will still have to have the HDMI cable connected of course.

• Hello Barker! Yes, in order to be able to connect and view content through this Blu-ray player it is required to have an HDMI cord from the Output port of this unit into the available HDMI IN port of your television.~ Jeannette
