• Hi! Sony Blu-ray players sold in the U.S. are coded to play Region [1] (DVD) / Region [A] (BD). It will also play discs labeled Region [Free], [0], or [All]. Thanks. -Anthony

• In the United States you cannot buy region free DVD or BluRay players. It is Fed Regulated. Europe usually uses PAL and North America NTSC or something of that nature. Those selling region free are using chips or mod bypasses that are actually could be potential copyright or similar violations. Those products are out there but this is not region free.
