Hi JoeP, No. You can't connect the speakers directly to the BDPS3500. -Anthony
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No you can't hookup speakers to the player directly. Most TVs have only RCA component audio and vidio INPUTS, not OUTPUTS. There are inexpensive converters out there that will convert coaxial output from the player to RCA outputs on Ebay, {AC3 Dolby DTS 5.1 surround converters and others], but you will need a receiver or amp to use. The player does not have a amp.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not without a receiver or amp.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You cannot hook speakers directly to a DVD player. You must take a line out of the DVD player to the input of a sound system. This unit does that via HDMI or digital coax only. If you are referring to a sound system used with your TV, you can simply use the HDMI connection from the Sony to your TV, then connect the RCA output jacks from your TV to your sound system. Make sure the TV output is activated in the TV's audio menu.
