“what kind of vga to hdmi converter do i need I got this tv because it said yes it had pc input.so I (assumed) it would have a vga-Input or a regular vga to hdmi adapter would work.but everything I read says I have to buy a converter to make it work.I know I would need a separate cable for sound but all I need is video. I am lost .can anyone give me a parts list and point me in the right direction please Thank you tim”

You just need a converter from VGA male to HDMI cable no more than that.

This TV has HDMI PC-input, if you are using a desktop computer we recommend using a video card with HDMI output rather than a VGA to HDMI converter. If you're using a laptop with no HDMI out, you can use a VGA to HDMI converter. However, Sony can't guarantee 100% compatibility of 3rd party converters/adapters. Thanks. -Anthony
