Saw this T.V. in the store and noticed and Green light going brighter and dimmer under the logo? Love the T.V. but find this annoying (yes I understand there are bigger problems but this is a T.V. question). Thanks! Can this light be shut off? What is it for in the first place?”

Hello Ted, thank you for your message. In regards to your question, unfortunately you cannot turn the LED backlight in front of the TV Off. -Oscar.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The Green Light means the TV is turned ON. It goes OFF when you power off the TV. And when you first power it ON, It starts out White. I'm not sure if you can change that at all in fact. I believe you are stuck with it. But when you turn on the TV, you see the SONY Logo. Now I know you can remove that under the settings menu. That's about all I know in regards to the Power and off settings.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.When our TV is off, there is no light under the logo. It turns green when you turn it on and stays one solid color of green and then turns red when you turn it off. Once off, there is no light.
