If getting optimal Dolby Atmos height effects is a top priority for your room with a vaulted ceiling, a traditional home theater system with dedicated in-ceiling or angled on-ceiling speakers connected to an A/V receiver would generally provide a more consistent and impactful overhead sound experience.
