A:AnswerI inserted the thumb drive into the usb slot recorded the cds. The quality on the recorded device was excellent. No difference from the original cd. Not sure how to explain from mic input. Hope this helps though.
A:AnswerYes, you can play CDs, radio or from USB -- even has aux input (mini stereo line in). The headphone jack (also mini stereo) is in the front toward bottom. Bluetooth is for using this as a bluetooth speaker (play audio from other device that pairs with this) -- you can't output bluetooth from this player to another bluetooth speaker or bluetooth headphones, unless you have a separate bluetooth transmitter (not included).
A:AnswerOK, the radio appears to be a basic analog radio with AM (amplitude modulation) and FM (frequency modulation) tuners. hd2 appears to be a new "hybrid digital" signal, rather than a traditional analog signal. The radio does have bluetooth, so the only way that I can see it getting hd2 would be through an hd2 app on your phone with a bluetooth pairing of your phone to the radio.
I am not an electronics expert, so you may want to talk to someone with more knowledge than me. I hope your uncle gets the stations that he wants!
