It is not necessarily voice activated. It has VOR (Voice Operated Recording) function. You set this function to ON to make the IC recorder start recording when the IC recorder detects sound, and pause when no sound is heard, eliminating recording during soundless periods.

Press – or + to select “ON,” and then press souni_playPLAY/STOP・ENTER. “VOR” is set to “OFF” when you purchase the IC recorder. Press souni_stop (stop) to exit the menu mode.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just bought it, but I don't see anywhere to enable voice-activation, or any indication that it works. I read it in the manual, but enabling it (called "VOR") isn't possible to setup in the unit's menu as it's described in the manual.
