QuestionIs it voice activated and if so how to I check it outIs this machine voice activated it says it is but I can't figure it out

- Answer It is not necessarily voice activated. It has VOR (Voice Operated Recording) function. You set this function to ON to make the IC recorder start recording when the IC recorder detects sound, and pause when no sound is heard, eliminating recording during soundless periods.

QuestionDoes this recorder make noises when you are turning it on and off? If so, is there any way to lower the noise of the beep?

- Answer The default is a beep when most functions are activated, but this can be turned OFF for more discrete use. You can also disable the LED recording indicator and "lock" the unit to prevent accidental mode changes. Very discrete if desired.

QuestionCan I transfer my recording onto a CD?I want to read a book into my recorder and then make a CD (or several) so I can loan it to a friend who is partially blind and unable to read.

- Answer Yes, you can transfer your recordings to your computer and burn an audio disc. Please take note that audio files being recorded is in MP3 format.

QuestionDoes the PX333 offer Date and Time Stamps for each recordings?So if I need to go back to last Saturday at 1 PM and listen to a recording will I be able to find it easily and visually know the date and time of what I'm listening to?

- Answer Yes. But the date of recording will not be displayed if you recorded the file when the clock was not set.

QuestionMemory sortingCan I select a folder to record to each time I start recording? i.e. Math lecture to Math Folder Lit lecture to Lit folder - no searching later, everything is where it ought to be. Thanks Ed

- Answer Yes, you can easily select a folder at any time. There is a dedicated button for this. There are five numbered folders, Folder01, 02 etc. I don't believe they can be renamed though if that is something you want. Each folder can hold up to 199 recordings. I would definitely recommend this for recording lectures.

QuestionAre there only certain types of MicroSD's that are compatible?I am on my 2nd PX333 device that will not read 3 different MicroSD's. One is a non SanDisk 2GB, SanDisk 2GB, and a SanDisk 16GB SDHC Class 4. I have formatted the cards to see if that was the issue, no luck. Everything works great except for this.

QuestionHow do you fast forward?I am listening to my recordings on the digi recorder and cannot work out how to fast forward or go to a specific section of the recording. This makes transcription very difficult! Can you help?

- Answer Hi, I use this device to record all my classes, meetings and other event if I needed it. I just use my USB cord that it is included and save on my computer for later studies. It works fine.

- Answer The recorder comes in with lots of built-in Flash memory. However, you do have the option to use your own micro flash drive. Hope this helps.

- Answer It has a battery indicator on the unit but it does not beep for low warning. It only beeps when you are running out of space.

- Answer If your phone has a speaker option, yes, it will record what is begin said. i tested the device and it picks up normal speech fairly clearly within about 6 feet of the device.

- Answer Hi carolinagator, Setting the time and date only appears when you insert a battery for the first time, or after the IC recorder has been without a battery for more than 1 minute, “Set Date&Time” appears, and then the clock setting window appears. - Jerome

- Answer You can save the files anywhere and under any name you want. They are standard mp3 files so your Drop Box shouldn't have a problem with it. I keep all my files on my Google Drive and store my lectures there.
