QuestionWhat's a good mike to use? Other attachments recommended?I plan to use the recorder for extended length (voice only) preparations, to be transcribed to my Mac's "Dictation" function. Is a mike recommended for some or most actual recording sessions? If so, which one(s)? Any other attachments recommended?

- Answer I bought a Rode Mic-smartLav Professional lapel Microphone and I really like it and can put it any where=hope this helps:)

QuestionIs this compatible with Mac's DICTATION app?I am a spoken word author, eager to use this wonderful function on my MacBook Pro. I noticed one or two of your recorders require DRAGON but I would like to use my own computer's system. If not compatible, can you recommend another? If it is compatible, does that require any extra purchases? What about mikes and earphones to go with? What do you suggest?

- Answer The device does not need any external programs to function. If you're looking to record your voice and play it back for your Dication program, the only thing I would suggest is to use a mic connected to your Mac for better recognition from the software.
