Hi Gillum, PTP means the capability of the camera to transfer images to computers or other devices via USB, in the camera's case, it is PTP/MTP. If you are referring to charging the camera's internal backup battery, simply insert its external batteries with enough charge and leave the camera off for 24 hours or more. Thanks, -Mark
