A:AnswerIt's a power zoom -- it focuses and zooms internally with motors. This is perfect for gimbal video shooting as you won't have to re-balance when changing focal lengths.
A:AnswerHi Alan, Sony's commitment to customer satisfaction is our top priority. The power zoom function can be used using the RMT-DSLR2 on A6400 with 18105 power zoom lens. Thank you so much for your question. And thank you for choosing Sony. - Pakorn (Sony Social Support)

A:AnswerI use it on my a6000 and I believe it and the a6400 have the same mount. As far as swimming and basketball, it’s only 105mm at maximum zoom so, unless you are poolside or court side, it might not be the best choice.
A:AnswerYes, I have used this Lens from the stands and it works quite well. It does depend on how fast the action is that you are wanting to capture. Plays in motion are tricky and I would use the video feature and try to splice out a pic from there?
A:AnswerWorks with all e-mount cameras from Sony. Be aware that it is not a Full frame, but still very usable. Try experimenting with it. The Full Frame version is the 24-105 I believe. Look for the FE which indicates Full Frame as part of the nomenclature.
A:AnswerHi TCar, Sony's commitment to customer satisfaction is our top priority. The HX400V is not an interchangeable lens camera, therefore it will not be able to swap out the lens for any other lenses on the market.
A:AnswerYes this Sony G lens is interchangeable but it's not designed for a full frame camera as a7 series. Your photos will come out cropped and details will not be sharp. Best to choose a lens that is made for a full frame content.
A:AnswerNo, this is a crop sensor lens. With the Sony E-mount lenses the models with “FE” in the model number are full frame. It is a great lens. I have mine mounted to a Sony a6000.
A:AnswerThis 18- 105 Sony lens is designed to use with the A6000 series cameras. You will get full sensor features with these cameras. Although you can use this lens on a full frame Sony camera but will experience the limitations in depth and viewing angles. If you have a 7iii model you can use this lens the sensor I believe are set the same. I have a Sony A6600 and I use this lens almost exclusively. It's a great compact lens for travel.
A:AnswerHi, toni! Yes, it's compatible but with restrictions:
-The angle of view will be narrower down to that of APS-C size.
-The [Lens Comp.: Distortion] setting will be set to "Auto".
-You can change the operating direction of the zooming ring by upgrading the lens software to Ver. 02 or later.
