“Do these headphones have the piece that can move up and down to keep the wires from getting tangled? It can move up and down from about half way up the cord until it reaches the earpieces?”

Hi Kris, yes, it can only reach up to the unit's microphone/multi-function button. Additionally, this unit comes with a wire manager to avoid its wires from being tangled. There is a slide about 1/2 way up the wires -- it will come up until it reaches a button on one of the earbud wires.
