A new item is less likely to fail. I've got a ps4 (original) from a pawnshop at it works great. There are minor problems like it powering off on it's own. The overheating is tiresome and all. This is Geek Squad they fix computers all the time so a game system should be no issue.

My nephew always has a full memory and hes only 5 so his game variety isnt as big as my bf who was ecstatic I got the pro versus the other version. He said that it definitely makes it better since he will hardly ever run out of memory on it
