Honestly you may not get a straight answer from anyone at Best Buy regarding that question because I sure did not. I can tell you from experience that refurbished products that I've gotten from Best Buy in the past , for whatever reason the person at the register offered me an extended warranty ....which I don't believe they're supposed to do. on this phone it's not likely that they will offer anything not just because it's refurbished but because it is a mobile device as the guidelines for mobile devices and other categories that they've defined have varying rules regarding warranties, extended warranties and accidental damage plans. My recommendation to you, is to download: 1.) the app 'Warranteer' and 2.) the app 'Covered'... *the first one helps you keep track of all of your different warranties and also allows you to process claims against them through the app (it's incredible!) *and the second one actually allows you to purchase insurance on everything from renters insurance to additional Insurance on your electronics .....and I mean WELL, after the original purchase date refurbished or new! Go that route ... that's what I did. Just get insured for everything that matters And ONLY then...tell others about it, because I doubt it'll last long at the value they are offering!
