Q: QuestionCan you connect a external microphone to this camera?Can I connect a external microphone to this camera for better audio capturing and if so, is there a delay between the audio capture and video capturing?

• A:Answer No, it does NOT have an external microphone jack. In the spec tab of this products listing it says it does , but that is wrong. I am returning my camera for this reason. I contacted customer service,and we together called Sony to verify, and they did infact let me and the Best Buy customer service rep know that it DOES NOT have the input. They should be updating the listing soon. but if you need to use this camera for more than recording your kids birthday parties and need audio of a standard higher than the HACK level video, you will need a Field Audio Recording setup that will have to be added in post production editing. Although this camera can achieve a High Definition video performance with a good lighting setup, it's audio capabilities are EXTREMELY limited and this camera should only be used on a personal level not professional or even someone tying to emulate a professional. Please Please please take that into account before buying !!

Q: QuestionDoes this cam gives clean video over HDMI1) Does it give clean video out to TV over HDMI. does it show any rec, time and other information on TV? 2) Does it output 1080i or 1080P over HDMI and what is the frames rate for sec. we have option to change the frame rate? 3) Can we record or get a HDMI output to TV while AC/DC plugged into the power outlet? • A:Answer Hi Shree, yes the camcorder has clean video output via HDMI, you can also choose to display the settings and other information to your TV by changing the CTRL for HDMI setting. The camera can output 1080p or 1080i at 60 fps. And yes, you can use the camera with the TV while plugged in to an AC socket. Thanks_Mitch

• A:Answer YES You friggin can, ignore that ignorant post that says you can't because I CAN. After getting it, you WILL need the right hardware and software and this part is NOT super cheap, but it is reasonable. one word, ELGATO. Get the HD Pro or HD Pro 60 (if you want the 60fps recording. But the BEST hardware that works best for this camera AND Elgato's software (that IS free at least) is the 4K Cam LINK. its a 3.0 USP adapter to hook your HDMI cable from your camera to your PC. In the camera, Set it for 1080p (which is progressive) and at 60fps and hook it up. Using that Cam Link from Elgato you can THEN USE IT AS A FACE CAM, using BandiCam, OBS or even Elgato recording software and they can ALL be used for live streaming as well. Ignorance is failure in this case, knowledge is power and I HOPE this helps you and ANYONE who asks.
