“I’m under the impression there is a decent app with this device. Is there an option to upload video live to a phone or do it quickly? I intend to ride a motorcycle with this and in the event of a crash need something along the lines of auto uploads”

"Imaging Edge Mobile" app allows you to connect to almost any action camera and download photos or videos via Bluetooth/wifi to your phone. It also allows you to remotely control your camera with your phone. Best of all, it's free!

The only app I know is Sony play memories, but I don't believe it has an option that will allow the user to grab a file from the camera and upload it, besides the transfer would be very slow. The other possible option is Livestream, but I have never tried it.
