QuestionCan I use the optical port to connect to my Sony Bass Bazooka sony rdh-gtk37ip? I can transmit to it through Bluetooth, but then I can’t hear the sound bar or tv. I’d like to figure out a way to wire to it.

- Answer Hi Frank, Thank you for the inquiry! The optical digital output of the soundbar is dedicated for television. So for example if your television doesn't support ARC/eARC, you can connect it using optical cable. We do not recommend connecting any speaker to the optical digital output of the soundbar. QuestionCan the ht-a5000 transmit to bravia theatre u and play sound through the sound bar at the same time? The soundbar has an input from a fire cube and out to a projector.

- Answer Was chatting with sony product support, soundbar CANNOT play sound and connect to theatre u at the same time. Can only be done with addition devices.

- Answer Hi Sonyuser, The system becomes a 5.1.4. The rear speakers add 2 height channels but are a duplicate of channels 4 and 5 that are in the soundbar. - Answer We just got the HT-A5000 and sub (small house) and the sound is excellent, when you switch to TV speakers the sound is 1k better than standard speakers.

QuestionI have a Sony tv (HDMI eARC)connected to the HTA5000 sound bar connected to the Directv box.( HDMI). The TV is also connected to a ROKU Box.. Sometimes when switching back to the Directv from ROKU, the TV displays no video. The sound bar is problem.

- Answer Hi Sony, Thank you for the inquiry! Unfortunately, you can only connect one subwoofer to the soundbar. A good note to mention is you can connect two SA-RS3S Wireless Rear Speakers for a more powerful sound. Take your entertainment to a new realm of audio immersion. The HT-A5000 has 5.1.2 channels and X-Balanced speaker units minimize distortion while the up-firing speakers and beam tweeters fill the room to give an ultra-immersive listening experience.
