“Green light is on the box but for some reason it doesn’t sound like it’s working. I press the sw plus button it doesn’t sound like it’s on. Could be wrong but is there a certain bottom on the remote for the box”

If it's similar to my situation, I used it on my PC. What I had to do is change the Sound Setting to Stereo and then the subwoofer worked perfectly. The green light should indicate the SW is connected.
