Hi KiKiSamsung, thanks for your inquiry. You cannot connect an Apple TV 4K to this soundbar since it doesn't have an HDMI IN input. If your older Samsung TV has digital optical port then yes, you can connect it to this soundbar. I would also suggest you connect the Apple 4K TV directly to your TV instead. And yes, the volume of the Sound Bar can be adjusted using the TV remote control. Please make sure to turn on the Control for HDMI Function of the soundbar to use this feature. Please note: Control for HDMI function may work with devices other than those manufactured by Sony, but operation is not guaranteed.
