- Answer You should be able to. The Portal does not save or process any actual game data locally, it streams from your PS5. Any saving or game data altering is being done on the PS5, not the Portal.

- Answer You need to have a PlayStation 5 because it connects to and runs the game from the PS5 and casts the screen to the PlayStation portal. So no, you cannot play without a PlayStation.

QuestionWhen in the world is Best Buy going to do something about the scalpers who are buying up the entire stock of the Portal? Seriously, they need to make this a pick-up only item. It said it was in-stock less than 20 minutes ago!

- Answer They will never answer this question. I literally successfully added the item to my cart only for it to disappear and say unavailable. I had to complain to customer service for them to allow me to have it shipped in 3 weeks. It's sad.

- Answer As long as you are in a region with PS+, you no longer need a PS5 to stream games. However, you do need PS+ Premium to do so.

- Answer It needs to be in rest mode if you want to remote play from your PS5. A new update to the portal was released that allows you to stream your own games if you are a PS+ Premium subscriber.
