A:Answer Yes! It does work with no cell-phone service in the area. I used the LVR2 remote to control a Sony AS200V HD while riding through the Big Bend area in far west Texas, on my motorcycle, with (many times) no cell service anywhere. The connect feature is easy, just turn on the camera first, then the remote; the remote will seek and find the camera quickly; I had no issues.
