A:AnswerSony never announced a for sure release drop time unfortunately. Probably for good reasons, however insider leaks say it will be at 8am on 24th. Store are not selling all of them online however they are reserving a few for in store purchase only so if you get to your local Best Buy as soon as they open at 9am you are probably gonna be able to grab one as long as there wasn't a line.
A:AnswerNo preorders on this console. Can order and set for shipping or store pick up on the 24th or get to your local Best Buy before opening to get in there and grab one asap. Only two ways to do it.
A:AnswerEarnest, Before you comment to an answer you should do your research and due diligence because the info you got from some Best Buy rep Ir a rep you spoke to is completely wrong. Best Buy did get them and it was an online only purchase so you thinking that Sony was the only one to get them you are wrong. Also, they only produced 50,000. Not 500 million! That’s simply the name of this edition And if you did your research you would know that the day of release Best But did have them
A:AnswerThis is to the so called "Sales Associate". Yes you need to put a product in a separate box even if you think the product packaging already counts as a box. Most people who buy special edition items are collectors and the outer package is part of that collectable. Even if they aren't a collector, shipping a product without extra packaging, "box within a box", knowing that outer packaging, will get damaged during shipping, is just bad buisness practice. It's like saying "hey we shoved it in the mail box, our job is done, we dont care of it makes it to you in one piece" Amazon does an excellent job of shipping, with a heavy duty box and plenty of bubble cushions. My last order was shipped through ups with 2 day shipping. The outer box was ripped, beat up and tape almost coming off, but the boxes and items inside were perfectly safe. That's why a "box within a box" is always a good idea and should always be shipped that way if you value your customers. As a person who works in retail myself, and does everything to make sure my customers are satisfied, I hope it's not all of best buy that has this bad idea of what acceptable shipping practices are.
