A:Answer This is to the so called "Sales Associate". Yes you need to put a product in a separate box even if you think the product packaging already counts as a box. Most people who buy special edition items are collectors and the outer package is part of that collectable. Even if they aren't a collector, shipping a product without extra packaging, "box within a box", knowing that outer packaging, will get damaged during shipping, is just bad buisness practice. It's like saying "hey we shoved it in the mail box, our job is done, we dont care of it makes it to you in one piece" Amazon does an excellent job of shipping, with a heavy duty box and plenty of bubble cushions. My last order was shipped through ups with 2 day shipping. The outer box was ripped, beat up and tape almost coming off, but the boxes and items inside were perfectly safe. That's why a "box within a box" is always a good idea and should always be shipped that way if you value your customers. As a person who works in retail myself, and does everything to make sure my customers are satisfied, I hope it's not all of best buy that has this bad idea of what acceptable shipping practices are.
