I picked up the console about a week later because they didn't have it in stock when I placed the order. So, in a way, it was a preorder. You just need to know when will Best Buy allow you to place that order.

The system itself and the games made for it need software patches throughout time and it is recommended to connect to the internet every now and then for that purpose; but it should be possible to play offline with disc versions of the games. Your mileage may very though as many video game studios rely upon software patches to update their games to eliminate bugs and glitches.

A:AnswerAfter going through the discord restock servers (lots of them if you just google), BestBuy (in addition to Target) is one of the best places to buy a ps5 in 2022 as they have a line system when there is a restock, or their system only lets some people in at a time either elimination bots or at least reducing the number of bots that can snag orders.
