Yes, Ps4 controllers DO work... BUT they will only work with PS4 games on the PS5 (most PS4 games should be backwards compatible according to Sony, with many of the more popular ones tested and confirmed working up to standards at PS5 launch day with some free to install and play Day 1 if you remain subscribed to PS+ so google a list of those up to avoid buying those games if you have PS+). PS5 games will ONLY work with the dualsense (the PS5 controller) but a dualsense controller comes with each model of PS5, along with their HDMI 2.1 cable, a cord for the usb-C port to charge the dual sense or use it on the machine, and the AC Power cord for the system as well as a stand for the system.
