I had the same question prior to purchasing. Here's what I learned thus far. The main value to the disc version is that you can play PS4 disc games or Bluray movies that you might already own or can find a good deal on, using the PS5 disc drive. I previously thought the disc version would use less HD space since the console could read off the disc rather than install onto the HD. However, after playing Miles Morales on the disc version, it still takes up ~80GB on the HD (I'm not sure how much space it takes up on the digital version but guessing about the same). Was hoping that the disc version would allow me to have more games ready to play but with the HD usage it might not be the case. If you don't have a need to play PS4 or Bluray discs then I'd recommend saving the $ and buying the digital version.
