Sony controls both sides of the connection. The device doesn’t have any competing background connections that could degrade your experience on a phone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This device is specifically made by PlayStation to be used with the PS5. The compatibility is better and designed to have very little to no lag unlike your phone or tablet which aren't designed to do gaming specifically like the Portal.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. After using the device for several months I can say it performs a little bit better than my Sony Xperia. If your current remote play on a phone is atrocious, the portal won't help too much tbh. What really matters for remote play is the state of your Internet connection. I gotta say I love my portal, I use it almost daily and I prefer it over using my tv and controller.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Its a Ps5 controller wrapped around an 8 inch table the difference is in connection features syncing is a lot better with the portals sonce this is what it's made for
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.aside from being a dedicated solution, it also supports gyro controls (which some games require and/or are useful) the PS remote app for mobile does not support the use of a phones gyroscope.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would be hesitant if I were you, early reviewers have said this is basically an android device running essentially PS Play and it is just using your own wifi, no special connections. If it doesn't work well with Remote Play on your phone or PC there is a good chance it won't work well with this, as it is likely your wifi that is the issue. I ordered one, but I have no issues with PS Play on my phone in my house.
