They charge when it ships.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.They will put a hold on the funds right away. To verify the funds are there and available. Also to verify it is a functioning account. If you don't have the funds available, you might not be able to keep your preorder. I did it via my BBY card which I don't have the funds available for at the moment, and it says "action required within 24 hours".
